When I am now able to travel out of country, or somewhere new and exciting, I always find myself visiting one of Ontario’s wine country hotspots, Niagara-on-the-Lake. It is home to some of the best hotels and spas from across Ontario.

The area is operated by two primary hotel groups, that is ultimately owned by the same management company; Niagara’s Finest Hotels and Vintage Hotels. Among these groups there are countless other restaurants and boutique and large hotels.

Okay, now let’s get down to it.

Why is this the best deal in Niagara-on-the-Lake?

Here’s the reality — a nice dinner in Niagara on the Lake is going to cost you at least $75 dollars per person, at a minimum. If you’re looking at a steal, even higher. This is if you’re accounting for an appetizer, main course and dessert. That said, understanding that this deal includes your 3-course meal for two and then breakfast, its a win out of the gates.

We’ve had some dinners covered, where you would be looking at a bill of just $200-250 before taxes. At that point, the $150 you spent on the package has almost bought and paid for itself twice over. Now, looking at breakfast, you’re probably looking at a anywhere between $50-$75, of course, depending on what you fancy.

At the end of the day, depending on your pallet, your palette, you can expect the $150 add-on package to cover as much as $300-$325 in returned value between your breakfast and dinner. Where else can you get 50% off your meals? Seriously.

Who is this deal not for?

Let’s be honest now, if you’re not a big foody, or typically stick to a salad exclusively and do not indulge in desert a lavish main course, skip this. I get it, not everyone enjoys fine foods and if that is the case for you, don’t add on the Retreat to Wine Country package. However, if you are — go to town!

What You Need to Know About This Deal

So, ALMOST everything is covered. From what I have experienced over the weeks is that some things do require an up-charge. In most cases, this is for items where you receiving lobster and a steak. Larger dishes — and from what I can recall, its typically something like $15. Not a huge increase, but just be aware of this possibility. Regardless, if you like food and wonderful flavours — you’re bound to get your money’s worth.
